Progress update 10


Hey hey, Katana here again.

I wanted the next post to be an "excited" one, but unfortunately, that isn't really the case. I do have some good news though! ๐Ÿ“ˆ

IRL
Initially, I wanted the next post to be a big bold lettered yelling post where I yell my lungs out that I finished this university semester. And I am somewhat done, but not yet. I passed all exams (technically one still left to be graded, but I know I passed it), however, the internship and study project are currently halted. I wrote my ass of and completed both as early as possible and submitted, but now I am waiting for few days already for any reply (so I can continue with procedures), and from what I am told, could be a few more days.
Essentially, it's a waiting game now lazy professors , and after I get some reply, I make any changes to the documents if they so require, and then I need to go 2-3 times to uni to submit paperwork and, again, await for confirmation all is good.

So, yeah. Classes and exams done for life? Yup! ๐Ÿ“ˆ
Procedures and paperwork? Still step 1. ๐Ÿ“‰
I am also slowly looking into moving out (I still live with my parents, and working on this kind of game, when summer, with open doors due to AC... Not ideal ๐Ÿ™„)

Naturally, I did start now to get back into gamemaking stuff, but I definitely wish I had a "clean" head of any uni related stuff instead of the current situation. However, as soon as I fully get confirmation that all is done uni wise, I'll make a new post and ping all of you ๐Ÿ˜ The post will be big and will talk about a lot of important things, so when I do, don't miss out.

Now onto game stuff.

Similarish, some good and some not bad, but meh results. I had to fully focus 2 weeks on exams and the projects+initial documents, so the progress was naturally slow. Unfortunately, during proofreading the person also noticed some inconsistency in dynamic of some scenes switching (was a lot of constant switches from one place, to the next char, then again another place) etc., and I've deleted a tiny portion of it to be more fluid (rip one relatively funny part though, and rip those 30ish renders). I've also had to re-render 60 or so, as the proofreader and I noticed a loophole with clothes (who would have though not having her carry a bag would cause that...).
Honestly, this is a great example of how little things simply pass under the radar when you are not fully focused on it due to university or other major stresspoint.

Thankfully, the rest of proofreading went well, and I wrote another ~500 lines of dialogue so that's something. And we just passes 1 000 renders (would be more if not re-renders and complete removal of 30 of them ๐Ÿ˜ช)

There you have it. A messy month, some ups and downs, but moving into the right direction at least.
Depending if uni keeps treating me like a punching bag, I may have some rough estimates on potential release dates. Also some other possible small additions related to coding part in next progress update, if all goes well.
