Progress update 5

Heeyooo, back at it again.

Another progress update to share with you all. And to start things off… Was a decent progress!

Still slightly unhappy with rendering speed as some things continuously get in the way, but nothing major happened this time around. Like buying a NVME drive to realize you cannot install it as your motherboard doesn’t support it, so then you needed to research and buy a new one haha.

Ok, actual progress. It’s been mostly renders tbh, so there isn’t that much to talk about. If I didn’t redo so many renders after seeing some either inconsistencies or just due to improving in a single scene, might have been a bit faster (looking at you damn water surface). Honestly if not a single person doesn’t comment positively on the water surface in some render/s I’ll be sad :D

On the actual numbers, up to ~915 renders for ep3 (+ the mentioned in previous reports ~180ish from the ep2 two scenes rework). Now we are well above the usual half of the game renders (~usually I had 1 300 renders per ep). Considering this episode might have the highest amount so far (looking more like 1 500 tbh) I put it at 60% total for now, but it’s dependable on how much it ends on.

Besides that, not much else to point out. Music/songs will be on the menu now, as I also got some cool links for that (thanks!). Also ep1 has been proofread and I implemented half of it already. Whole ep1 and possibly ep2 could be proofread till next report. By the next report I should also have my new Main menu picture ready, which I will share here.

So that’s more or less it for this report. In next report I should be getting very close to finishing all renders, and as the other stuff remaining are smaller in volume, and it’s actually getting closer to release, I will switch back to weekly progress reports after the next one.

Stay safe!

Super excited to continue the story.  I've played through the current version at least 3 times doing different dialogue choices.  Getting antsy to read more!

Keep up the awesome work Kat.
